Arsi Refisa - Ethiopia

Sale price£14.00
You will have no doubt heard us talk on numerous occasions about how our 'orange profile' is optimised by Washed Ethiopian coffees, and Arsi Refisa is no different with its bright juicy flavours and pleasant zingy acidity.
We're loving this coffee for its extra juicy and bright characteristics. It's my current go-to coffee while putting on a batch at the roastery!
We think you'll love this on filter and should revel in its notes of Seville Orange, Mango, Camomile, and Desiccated Coconut.

Every Coffee Has A Story

Discover More | Arsi Refisa - Ethiopia

The coffee was grown in Ethiopia's West Arsi zone and is home to the Oromo ethnic group, with nearly 3 million people residing in the area. The Farmers grow two varieties - 74110 and 74112, both developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center in the 1970s.

The cherries were delivered to Refisa Washing Station operated by Negusse Debela, who also oversees two other stations in the well renowned Worka Chelbesa. After pulping, the coffee is left to ferment for 48-60 hours before being washed which is followed by drying on 200 raised beds for 7-10 days.

What Does Our Colour System Mean?

We categorise each coffee into a colour system that identifies the 'vibe' and general tasting notes of that category of coffee. It can also have a relation to what brewing method works best, the processes used to create it or the varietal of the actual bean. Watch the video below to hear from a member of the team on what exactly this colour represents.
