Hermosa - Costa Rica
Located in the Tarrazu region, renowned for its coffee production, farming in the town of Santa Maria de Dota was not always easy. Prior to the formation of Coope Dota, the producers had little expertise in agronomy and all of their crop was sold to middlemen who paid the farmers unfairly.
With so much uncertainty in prices, producers began turning to the National Bank where a department was assembled to give recommendations on how best to process their coffee. The Coope Dota has been fundamental in the rise of quality in the area ever since.
This is the second process that we have presented from Hermosa, this iteration being the Honey. Profiled for espresso, it's full of buttery sweet notes of Strawberry, Caramel, Raspberry and Grapefruit.
