Gerson Naimeg was born to German-immigrated parents in Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais in 1938. In 1957, he moved to northern Paraná and married Hercília Mafra from Botelhos. The couple had six children and Gerson eventually bought his first land in 1962. A year later, The Naimeg Group was founded and aimed to produce top-quality coffee.

Devastated by frost in 1981, Gerson purchased Fazenda Pântano in Coromandel, with three more farms Bela Vista, Ouro Verde, and Londrina later acquired. For over fifty years, the 6 siblings have preserved their family legacy.

Londrina spans 394 hectares, with 190 of that dedicated to coffee and is now produced by son, Jorge Fernando Naimeg. This lot of Red Catuai coffee has undergone Natural processing and was grown at an elevation of 1150masl. Catuai coffees are cultivated widely across Brazil, and are known for their high productivity potential.

We are really impressed with this Brazilian and selected it form an extensive table of coffees to compliment our Guilty Pleasure house coffee. As a single origin it is shining with its crowdpleasing character of Chocolate Biscuit, Brown Sugar & Honey.

Green Coffee

What does our colour system mean?

We categorise each coffee into a colour system that identifies the 'vibe' and general tasting notes of that category of coffee. It can also have a relation to what brewing method works best, the processes used to create it or the varietal of the actual bean.
