Leonela Vanessa Madrid Mejia

Leonela Vanessa Madrid Mejia is a fourth-generation coffee producer. Vanessa studied Food Science at University and wishes to use what she learned at university to improve and progress processing methods. 2025 was her first harvest, after being gifted her farm, El Caminto, by her father, Franklin Madrid.

El Caminito, Honduras

El Caminito is a high-altitude Gesha coffee variety grown at 1,750 meters in El Sauce, Santa Barbara, Honduras.

Natural

The cherries undergo meticulous processing: floating and hand-sorting followed by a 24-hour barrel fermentation. They're then sun-dried on raised beds beneath parabolic covers over three weeks—a deliberate natural method that locks in brightness and accentuates the vibrant tropical fruit character that defines high-altitude Honduran Gesha.
