Distrikt x Cairngorm Scottish Rugby Coffee
Introducing our collaboration with Distrikt Coffee, a celebration of Scottish Rugby which is fueling the national team throughout their Autumn campaign. Distrikt Coffee, which includes members of the team coaching set up, came to us to create something that would be the perfect fuel for their upcoming test and in the spirit of teamwork and passion we crafted this collaboration to be just that.
With rich, robust notes and a bold, balanced profile, this coffee is as dynamic and layered as the sport itself. It’s crafted to fuel early morning training sessions, game-day excitement, and everyday champions. Whether you’re on the field or in the stands, this coffee is brewed to inspire. Raise a cup to Scottish rugby and savour every sip!
A brief history of Distrikt Coffee...
Who are Distrikt?
Distrikt Coffee was started by Craig Jackson (Super Six Coach/Player & Lecturer) and John Dalziel (Scotland Forwards Coach) who both share a strong passion for coffee. We were approached a few months ago to help them launch this new venture and are honoured to be given the opportunity to help them, starting with this initial collaboration blend and with plenty more to come.
We dropped by the team hotel at the start of the Autumn Nations campaign to make some coffee with the team at Distrikt. Naturally we used this coffee which is also now well stocked in their team room.
A truly collaborative coffee...
What's in it?
We took the opportunity to design a blend around rugby and ran with it, developing our most expansive blend yet. Featuring coffee from four different origins, this is truly a coffee that thrives on teamwork. Within it are the hard work from producers in Colombia (Washed), Brazil (Natural), Honduras (Washed) and Costa Rica (Natural). The result is a complex and bold coffee perfect to keep you going during this run of international tests.
You guys love rugby, huh?
It's all about community
There’s an undeniable synergy between rugby and coffee that goes beyond a shared love for early mornings and intense energy. Rugby, a game rooted in teamwork, resilience, and precision, mirrors the dedication and collaboration that coffee requires from farm to cup. Just as rugby players rely on each other to win, coffee depends on a series of players—farmers, roasters, baristas, and customers—to bring out its best.
Both rugby and coffee culture share values of community and connection. Rugby brings people together in stadiums and pubs, while coffee creates spaces for people to connect, relax, and recharge. Whether it’s a player finding a moment of focus with a cup before a big match, or a roaster carefully crafting a blend with that same intensity, both worlds thrive on dedication and community-driven excellence.
