Our latest decaf offering is a blend from smallholder farmers from Nariño, Colombia. This smooth and creamy decaf coffee will work a treat, whether you're brewing for filter or espresso.

This is another coffee we've sourced through our friends at Langdon Coffee Merchants, the same folks that make our Guilty Pleasure house blend possible.

We rotate our decaf every few months, if you're looking to set up a decaf offering, please note that your decaf may change from time to time.

Smallholder Farmers

As a distinctive feature, coffee growing in Nariño is based on family smallholdings: each coffee-growing family owns an average of 0.92 hectares of coffee. This characteristic means that the approximately 33,000 coffee-growing families operate on small farms, which facilitates artisanal care and is key to quality. In terms of volume, this model places Nariño as the ninth-largest producing department in Colombia, but its prestige is due to the excellence of its beans.

Nariño, Colombia

La Unión, Nariño, is emerging as the region's coffee-growing epicenter and a leader in specialty coffees. Located in the south of the country, in the Andes Mountains, this municipality cultivates traditional varieties such as Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia under exceptional environmental conditions. At altitudes ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 masl, the dedication and meticulous work of farmers achieve complex and unique attributes in their cup profiles.

EA Decaf

This coffee is decaffeinated using Ethyl acetate (EA), a natural component of sugar cane, coffee, and fruits such as strawberries and bananas. It is highly selective with respect to caffeine and can physically extract it from green coffee beans in a gentle, but targeted manner.
